Lola Krummenacher Biography
Lola Krummenacher grew up in Rexburg, Idaho, where she attended Ricks College and BYU
with a major in elementary education and a minor in art. After graduating, Lola taught school in
Issaquah, Washington, while her husband finished OCS. They moved around the country, but
when her husband was deployed to Vietnam, she returned to BYU and majored in their Art
program.
Jeff and Lola lived in Europe, where she was exposed to many cultures and great art. Returning
to the States, they raised six children in Arizona. Lola taught for community colleges and
attended classes. After moving to Williams, Arizona, Lola became a juried member of the
Northern Arizona Watercolor in Sedona, where she received instruction and taught. There she
studied with well-known Arizona and National artists.
Eventually, Jeff and Lola moved to Moab, Utah. While living there for seven years, she taught
watercolor and stained-glass classes for the Moab Arts and Recreation Center.
Over 18 years ago, they moved to Saint George, Utah, where Lola started teaching for the
Southern Utah Watercolor (now Dixie Watercolor Society), the Hurricane Valley Alliance, the Las
Vegas Watercolor Society, the Southern Utah Watercolor Society in Cedar City, and Mesquite,
Nevada. She has also instructed groups in Moab and Idaho. Lola has won awards in art shows
and exhibits throughout Arizona and Utah.
We are excited to have Lola return to the Mesquite Fine Arts Gallery to enrich our community
with her talents.
